edgemint started as an internal fix for a slow CI pipeline: the same few archives were being pulled from the far side of the planet on every build. A single cache node in the right region removed most of that wait, and the rest of the project is just keeping that node boring.

Principles

Content addressing or nothing. Mutable URLs are how caches become wrong. Every object here is named by its digest.

No telemetry. Access logs are kept for seven days for abuse handling and nothing else. There is no tracking script on any page of this site.

One node per region. Fewer moving parts beats clever routing at this scale.
